OMNIA
OMNIA: A Living Prototypical Environment for Human-AI Synthesis OMNIA, located in Sohar, Oman, represents a paradigm shift in experiential design. Far beyond a traditional gallery, it is a Living Environment where artificial intelligence serves as the foundational infrastructure. Developed as part of the North Al Batinah initiatives and aligned with Oman Vision 2040, OMNIA explores the transition from AI as a tool to AI as an atmospheric presence. Persistent Identity and the Digital Passport The architecture utilizes a sophisticated Digital Passport system to solve the problem of transient visitor data. Upon registration, a web-based companion app establishes a persistent handshake with the building’s local network. This allows for a personalized narrative where the environment "remembers" individual interactions. Every generative output and creative milestone is anchored to a unique visitor UUID, ensuring the creative journey is preserved as a permanent digital asset. Multimodal Environmental Orchestration The experience is mediated by Amani, an AI agent possessing deep environmental awareness. Amani represents a breakthrough in custom integration, connecting an LLM-based agent directly to DMX lighting consoles and spatial audio engines. This creates a feedback loop where the AI’s dialogue drives real-time environmental shifts. The result is a seamless synchronization of light, visuals, and sound that turns abstract data into a visceral, symphonic reality. The Oasis of Wishes: Visceral Data Visualization At the center’s emotional core lies the Oasis of Wishes, a zone dedicated to collective human intent. When a visitor submits a wish, a dual-distribution architecture triggers an immediate physical response. High-latency generative poetry is projected onto surfaces while low-latency triggers activate pulsing LED floors and volumetric lighting. This creates a tangible link between human hope and machine processing, immortalized as a digital collectible. Embodied Interaction and Computer Vision OMNIA transforms the human body into a primary interface through two distinct modules: The Create Zone: This utilizes real-time rigging and skeletal mapping to animate static 2D drawings. Unlike simple style transfer, this technology empowers the artwork to mirror the creator's physical kinematics in real time. The Play Zone: By leveraging advanced pose detection and computer vision, OMNIA eliminates the need for haptic controllers. Visitors navigate complex simulations, such as the Nature of Suhar, through pure physical movement and gesture-based commands. Immersive Domain Analysis The facility features specialized museum zones that utilize Digital Twin technology and predictive modeling to visualize the future of Space, Energy, and Healthcare. From personalized vaccines to autonomous smart-home ecosystems, these zones translate complex datasets into tactile experiences. The journey concludes in a massive Immersive Dome, a 360-degree theater that serves as the ultimate venue for large-scale generative storytelling. The Future of Augmentation OMNIA stands as a functional prototype for Human-AI Communion. It demonstrates that the future of technology lies not in the automation of the human experience, but in its emotional and creative augmentation. By embedding intelligence into physical space, OMNIA turns the "black box" of AI into a shared, transparent, and wondrous reality
